Young’s Market – Gas Station and Market in Gouldsboro, Maine
If you’re staying at Acadia East Campground near Acadia National Park’s Schoodic Peninsula, then Young’s Market is a great option. Young’s Market is located just 2 miles from the campground and opens at 4am every day (5am on Sundays). Young’s also sells breakfast sandwiches and some grocery goods. Whether you’re looking for a coffee on the drive to catch a sunrise hike in the park, or just need the stuff to make your own campfire breakfast, they’ve got you covered.
J.M. Gerrish Cafe – Coffee Shop and Cafe in Winter Harbor, Maine
Open seasonally, J.M. Gerrish Cafe is located in the heart of Winter Harbor, just a stones throw from the entrance to the Schoodic Section of Acadia National Park, the popular coffee shop and cafe is a great sit down option with outdoor seating on Main St. Consider this stop after you’ve finished hiking for the day. The J.M. Gerrish Cafe Menu is loaded with delicious items from breakfast staples to lobster rolls.

Aroma Joe’s – Coffee Shop in Ellsworth
Aroma Joe’s is a popular Maine-based coffee shop chain. They run a small coffee stand in the large parking lot behind McDonald’s (formerly Coffee Express). A great on-the-go option that opens at 5:15am every day (5:45 on Sunday)
Denny’s – 24-hour Diner in Ellsworth
The classic American chain. Denny’s is the only 24-hour dining option in the greater Acadia National Park region, but it hits the spot when you’re hitting the trails early or getting back late.
Dunkin Donuts – Coffee Shops in Ellsworth
There are currently three Dunkin Donuts in Ellsworth. They all open at 5am every day except for the one inside WalMart which opens at 6am every day.
McDonald’s – Fast Food Coffee and Breakfast in Ellsworth
McDonald’s doesn’t need a lot of explaining. Their website says open 24-hours, which I kind of feel like is either a lie or JUST happened recently. While we were building Acadia East Campground, I’d drive there every morning for a coffee, a breakfast burrito, and their Wi-Fi; and I always had to wait until 5am. So, there’s that.
