We’re are Located Outside Acadia National Park. Our campground is located at 574 US Route 1 in Gouldsboro, Maine, between the Schoodic and Mount Desert Island sections of Acadia National Park, just 7 miles from the Schoodic entrance to Acadia National Park and 35 minutes to the Thompson Island Visitor Center gateway to Mount Desert Island. We are not located in Acadia National Park OR affiliated with the national park in any way.
Self-serve means that guests book online and simply head to their campsite when they arrive. Our campground is securely video monitored 24/7 to ensure the safety of our guests. We have no staff on-site.
Commercial means that we are a business. We are not a non-profit, or affiliated with any non-profit, or government agency; including the National Park Service. If you’re looking to camp inside Acadia National Park, be sure to book well in advance at https://www.recreation.gov/
Backcountry-Style means that our campground is designed for those self-sufficient campers that like a quiet wooded tent camping experience that puts a premium on nature. Unlike traditional campgrounds, we have a main parking area where campers park and hike to their campsite. Campsite distances range from 50-300 feet from the parking area. You cannot drive your vehicle to your campsite.
Tent campground means that we are not able to accommodate RVs, campervans, or campers/travel trailers. Our campsites are designed for tents or hammocks only.
