The Beehive campsite is named after the bold mountain that stands guard over Sand Beach in Acadia. The Beehive campsite is the smallest site, located near the parking area (25-50 foot walk) and restroom facility, this site is ideal for solo campers, couples, and small families. Best for those looking to arrive late or depart early.
Nestled amongst cedar trees and exposed granite landscape, you’ll feel as if you’re deep in the heart of Acadia National Park.
Once you’ve made camp, take a leisurely nature walk around the grounds to identify trees, plants, and animals; or take your kayak, bike, or hiking shoes down the road into Acadia National Park’s Schoodic Woods region. We’re so glad you’re here.
