Picnic
Schoodic Point is an exceptional picnic spot in the Schoodic section of Acadia. The area offers breathtaking views of the mountains of Acadia on Mount Desert Island across Frenchman Bay, impressive crashing waves, and a seemingly endless view of the edge of the earth looking out across the Atlantic Ocean.
Pack a blanket and a lunch to enjoy with your family. The area is easy to access with short sets of granite steps down to the landmark. There are hundreds of yards of mostly flat granite for you to explore and find a private space to enjoy your visit. Be aware of the seagulls, they're always ready to be an uninvited guest.
